How to Hide “Last Seen” option:

  “Last seen” Timestamp is a feature that used to telling other users the last time you were on WhatsApp. It shows the last seen by default in all mobile devices. Some users may want to disable this timestamp, for privacy reasons. You can disable this timestamp feature on both iOS and Android. For iOS user, under the Settings -> Chat Settings -> Advanced and set Last Seen Timestamp to Off. If you’re an Android user, under settings set to Hide WhatsApp Status. There is one disadvantage when you keep your last seen Timestamp to off, you cannot see others last seen also.

How to block a Contact on WhatsApp:

For Android:

Tap on Settings –> now tap on Privacy –> Blocked Contacts and add a WhatsApp contact which you wish to block. Blocked users will not be able to send message or see Profile information or the Last Seen info thereafter.

For iPhone:

        First open WhatsApp and go to the Settings, then find Account option, which is located just above the Chat Settings. In Privacy tap on Blocked and Add New contacts from WhatsApp address book. Here a user can also unblock a contact, with just a swipe on it to the left and select Unblock button.

For Windows Phone:

Go to the WhatsApp  Settings under Menu and tap on Blocked Contacts. Now tap on the Plus (+) symbol to select WhatsApp contacts. User can also Unblock a contact here with just a long press on previously blocked contact and then choose Delete option. Finally tap on the Check mark to save all the changes in both cases while blocking or unblocking.

Then, choose the time-frame for which you would like the group to be muted. You can also disable notifications for the specified period. On iPhone Open Group Chat, tap the group subject to open the Group Info screen, and select Mute. Now, select a particular time for how long you’d like notifications to be muted.
